Marazzi is an italian leader in the ceramic tiles sector and epitomises the best of “Made in Italy” in the high-quality design field.
The Group was founded in Sassuolo (Modena) in 1935 and nowadays is a leading international player owned by Mohawk Industries, Inc., the world’s largest flooring manufacturer listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
On the occasion of the opening of Marazzi showroom in Clerkenwell, London’s district of design and creativity, architects, designers, media as well as institutional figures got an insight into the cutting-edge creativity and unique experimentation of the Italian brand.
The bright and airy three-floors showroom was designed by Italian architects Lorenzo Baldini and Antonio Pisano, founders and directors of London-based design Marcel Mauer Architects. The ground floor is embellished with pyramids covered with Marazzi tiles in different shades, from white clay to dove gray and black, while the first floor is a sort of atelier of the artist with a snake-shaped table and a collection of mood boards made up with Marazzi’s tiles.
More than 400 guests attended the event which ran until late night and brought together professionals as well as members of both the London and Italian institutions, including the Mayor of Islington.
Barabino & Partners was in charge of organising the opening night of the showroom and the related communication activities.
